Ashton Kutcher is an actor, entrepreneur, tech investor and producer. He co-created a venture fund, A-Grade investments, with Ron Burkle and Guy Oseary in 2011. To date, A-Grade has invested in multiple tech companies including Airbnb, Spotify, Uber, Flipboard, Path, SoundCloud, Foursquare, Quora and Shazam.
Kutcher first gained recognition as Michael Kelso on “That ‘70s Show,” which aired for eight seasons. He went on to star in a variety of box office hits on the big screen, including “What Happens in Vegas” with Cameron Diaz, “The Guardian” with Kevin Costner, “No Strings Attached,” with Natalie Portman and the cult hit, “Dude, Where’s My Car?” For television, Kutcher has served as co-creator and producer of MTV’s hit series, “Punk’d,” and The CW’s reality series “Beauty and the Geek” and “True Beauty.”
In 2009, Kutcher co-created Thorn: Digital Defenders of Children (www.wearethorn). Thorn exists to disrupt the predatory behavior of those who abuse and traffic children, solicit sex with children or create and share child pornography. As these crimes are increasingly facilitated by technology, Thorn invests in, builds and deploys the latest technology as part of the ongoing fight to end child sexual exploitation.
Born and raised in Homestead, Iowa, Kutcher attended the University of Iowa, where he was a biochemical engineering student. He was discovered by a local talent scout and soon began a career in modeling before segueing into acting.
