The $5.7 million Humana Challenge concluded Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Private Courses at PGA WEST in La Quinta, California with Haas winning in the final-round. Bill Haas finished with 22-under-par 266, Matt Kuchar (21-under 267), 2007 Humana Challenge champ Charley Hoffman (21-under 267), Riverside County (Calif.) native Brendan Steele (21-under 267), Steve Wheatcroft (21-under 267), Sung Joon Park (21-under 267) and Phil Mickelson (15-under 273). Bill Haas also won the 2010 Humana Challenge and the 2011 FedExCup title. He is the seventh player to win the Humana Challenge twice – Arnold Palmer won the event five times – and earned 500 FedExCup points and a winner’s check of $1,026,000. Haas vaults to No. 1 on the Humana Challenge’s all-time money list with total earnings of $2,808,815. Haas’ father, Jay, won the 1988 Humana Challenge.
