Steven Tyler

What’s a little bit country, a little bit rock & roll and a whole lot of awesomeness? Answer – Steven Tyler on his Out On A Limb tour. The Aerosmith frontman is embarking on a solo 19 city US tour to perform at more intimate venues without Aerosmith. This time around he is traveling with 6 member band Loving Mary from Nashville. The show took on a western them with county visuals and Steven in jeans and tan leather vest.

He kicked off the show with Sweet Emotion then worked in songs from his new album We,re All Somebody From Somewhere and then ended with Walk This Way and an encore which included Dream On.

The San Francisco performance was held at the Masonic Auditorium which lent itself to a more intimate atmosphere. This allowed him to show a more personal side of himself. He took the time between songs to share stories of his inspirations, influences and experiences. Including his adventures at the SF O’Farrell Theater. The sold out show was on their feet the entire night. This was also the loudest crowd we’ve witnessed there both singing and cheering.

I could describe Steven Tyler’s performance as electrifying, but that might be an understatement. His performance was definitely emotionally powerful and energetically dynamic. He sings every song with all his heart and soul, giving the audience all they’re expecting and more. By the end of the show, he was not only on the mic, but also on the piano, harmonica, drums and maracas.

Steven Tyler’s Out On A Limb tour left the audience both satisfied and wanting more. This was truly a rare San Francisco treat.
