Tina Maze Red Bull Skills Event At LenzerheideSlovenia’s Tina Maze made up for the disappointment of missing out on the World Cup title by storming to victory in the Red Bull Skills event at Lenzerheide on Sunday.
Lenzerheide (Switzerland) – Maze, who was edged out by Austria’s Anna Fenninger in the World Cup finals at Meribel last week, ran out a comfortable winner in the carnival end-of-season atmosphere.
Frenchman Adrien Theaux won the men’s event which sees the skiers compete over downhill, slalom, giant slalom and super-G using the same skis. ‘I am really content. Being a part of this event alone is amazing. I had so much fun here on the Lenzerheide. Winning is the total highlight’, said Théaux.
‘A race with four disciplines is just cut out for me. I have proved that I can be fast in all disciplines. You need to ski well here in order to be fast and make it across the finish line safely.’
